FORM AT PAPAKURA. TWO DOUBLE VICTORIES. FINE JUMPING BY KEATS. The Papakura Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club held its fourth meeting at I'rinee Edward Park last night, at which there was another large attendance. Features of the meeting were I\. Porter's (Papatoetoe) performance in the senior mile, hi« time being 4.58 off scratch, md a tine effort by R. Keats in the junior long jump. 18ft Tin, also off scratch. Last week he leaped oft 4V»in without a handicap in the high jump.
The most spectacular aspect of the evening's sport wan the success of Drsiiiond Bilkey and his sister Joan, both of whom were victorious in two races apiece. Gwyn Rice again won a couple of events. The national championship meeting of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic and Cycle Association will be held at Napier on March 10 and 11. This decision was reached at a meeting of the Hawke's Bay and Poverty Bay centres at Napier tonight.
