NEW NAVAL VESSELS.
LAUNCHINGS IN BRITAIN. British Official Wireless. (Received 11.30 a.m.) HL'CBV. October Three new Navy \es-els were launched ye-terday. At the Hepburn shipyard, liie flotilla leader Kelly, which belongs to the K da** and i- one of the eight ordered in the 1937 programme, was launched. H.M.S. Jackal, the first of the -I ciasr, destroyer- of the 1937 programme. was launched at Clydebank from the yard of .John Brown and ( ompany. where another of the same class is under construction. The third launching took place at Barrow, the vessel being the submarine Thistle, of the T class. To-morrow H.M.S. dupiter. which is a J class destroyer, will be launched at Scots - toun.
