CRICKET TOURISTS.

Tho team which Sir Julien Cahn has got together for the tour of New Zealand is of just the right quality to make its visit useful and educational to New Zealand players and to give spectators a bright and interesting display. It will not be so strong as to overwhelm the provincial sides, but by giving our young batsmen match practice against all types of bowling, and our bowlers something to think about, it will help to raise the standard. With batsmen like Dempster, Jackson, Hardstnff, Dyson, Old field and Watts playing matches into which the deadly seriousness of the Tests does not enter both opponents and spectators will have an interesting time, for the visitors will plnv n forcing frame throughout the tour. The bowling is impressive and will give our players experience against almost every class of attack and against men with whose methods they are unfamiliar. The visit should do much to assist the game and tins team will 'be very welcome.
