OTTAWA. The Peace Arch at the entrance to Canada's Houses of Parliament will be sculptured with a bachelor beaver holding a Union Jack shield in its paws, r irst proposed model of a mother beaver and nine little ones, representing the Dominion and it« nine provinces, was discarded following the contention that the female beaver k not that prolific a»d, anyway, all the province# did not come into Confederation at the tame time.
