WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government Meteorologist issued to the " Auckland Star " this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland province to as far south as Hamilton, Tauranga and Kawhia:— Light to moderate, but freshening, northerly to north-easterly winds. Weather fair to fine at first, but later cioud increasing and rain gradually developing after about 24 hours. Temperatures mild. Seas slight, but later increasing. An anti-cyclone is now centred north of the Bay of Plenty. The depression on the New South Wales coast yesterday has moved slowly south-eastwards. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, south-east, light; sea, smooth; weather, fine and clear; visibility, fair; barometer, steady.
