HONEYMOON COUPLE IN LIST OF DEAD.

Tho official list of those killed in the air liner disaster is as follows: — Mr. T. M. Hardy. Mr. Hugo Grant. Mr. A. C. Gain. Mr. G. Ling. Mr. H. Gloe. Mrs. H. Gloe. Mr. C. A. Hawker. Mr. G. H. Goddard. Mr. L. W. Shirley. Mr. J. J. Massie. Mrs. E. Schraeder. Mr. Vaughan Tate. Mr. L. S. Abrahams, K.C. Mr. Sidney Hill Smith. A boy named Phillip Pringle. The pilot, Captain A. Webb. The first officer, Mr. A. Steen. The air hostess, Miss E. Jones. Mr. ami Mrs. Gloe were on their honeymoon and intended to fly to Tasmania. Tho air liner had nearly completed a flijflit from Adelaide when apparently it was lost in a fug. It hit the mountain about 100 feet from tho top. ploughed a deep path among trees and then dropped almost to the base of the mountain in flames. Four of tho victims were thrown out terribly injured but identifiable. The remainder were trapped in the cabin and burned bevond recognition. Of tho ill-fated passengers Messrs. Massie, Shirlev, Goddard. Abrahams and Gain were leunl members representing the B.M.A. before a commission which visited Adelaide a rid Perth, where they had been inquiring into medical fees applicable to the health insurance plan. MrHsrs. AT>rii7i;irns nncl f»ain were among tho leaders of the New South Wales Flu r. Thev were associated in protracted Court proceedings here and in London which determined the legality of broadcasting rutins. Among the other victims Mr. Hawker, of South Australia. was formerly Federal Minister of Commerce. He was member for Fair bairn in the Federal Cabinet and intended proceeding to Canberra thi-> afternoon in a private 'plane. Messrs. Hardy, tlrant and Smith were en route to Canberra to take part in a wine industry conference. Mr. Tate and Mrs. Schraeder were passengers from Adelaide. Since th« beginning of 1031 150 lives have been lost in civil aviation in Australia. Fifty of these victim# were killed in disasters to air liners, and the others were killed in accidents to private 'planes.
