TRAM DRIVER INJURED.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) IXVERCARGILL, Tuesday. When a tramcar and motor truck collided in Yarrow Street this afternoon, Mr. Alfred Henry White, aged ;">B, the driver of the tram, suffered severe injuries. The front part of the tram, which utruck the side of the truck, wa« stove in and the tram was thrown from the rails at an angle of 4o decrees. The lorry, which was carrying- a heavy load, was almost undamaged. Mr. White was taken to hospital and bis condition is serious.
