The prizes offered are:—First, five guineas: second, three guineas; third, two guineas. In addition entries are invited for a competition for the best description of MY STRANGEST CHRISTMAS." Nearly everyone makes plans for Christmas, whether at home or elsewhere hut sometimes—whether through accident, bad Weather the unpredictable actions of other people, or a combination of circumstances—plans go astray, and people find themselves spending Christmas An incongruous surroundings. Have YOU had such an experience? If so, and you think it will interest other people, write a description of :t and enter for this competition. Entries must not exceed 600 WORDS in length. They should be marked My Strangest Christmas" on the envelope and addressed C -'nl T - to , e °>l°r of the "Auckland Star" or the editor of the Christchurch Star-Sun. Unsuccessful entries will not be returned unless accompanied by a stamped, addressed envelope.
