OTAHUHU CELEBRATION. MANY GUESTS ATTEND. Hie Public Hull. Otaliiilin, \va.s crowded on Monday when over 350 people attended tlie Labour victory dance. M.P. for Onehunga. was present, and addressed the assembly on behalf of Mr. ('. R. Petrie, M.l'. for Otahnhii. who was unavoi<lably absent in Wellington. During tlie evening tlie Mayoress. Mrs. ('. I!. IVtrie, was presented witli a beautiful l«>uquet to the accompaniment. of musical honours. The successful card winners were: — Ladies: Mrs. Markuriek 1, Mrs. Hinckley 2. Mrs. .tude 3. The Monte Carlo wa.s won byMr. Jaeobsen and Miss Lindsay, the spot waltz bv Mr. Brown and Miss Taylor, and Mr. Newman was the winner of the lucky number. Messrs. The ladies' division of the Avondale Labour party held a victory dance in Oddfellows' Hall. Avondale, when a delightful evening was spent. The guest of honour was the Hon. O. H. Mason, who adressed the gathering. Three cheers were given for the Rt. Hon. M. .1. Savage and the party. The secretary presented the guest of honour with a bouquet for his wife, who was unable to nttend. Among the ladies present, were: Mesdames Wright, Martin, Lloyd. Jones, sen., Jones, jun.. Colleaux, Craul. Richardson. Clews, Millener. Le Quense. Coleman, Mallony, Lorigan. Herron. Skinner. Varly, Misses Price, Althop. Craul, Colman, Bruce and Edwards. Mr. Jones, of Grey Lynn, acted as master of ceremonies.
