PROBLEMS OF THE UNFIT.

In a recent issue I read the report of a meeting of the National Council of Women and was glad to see that this council, which comprises in its membership the combined thinking of most of the women's groups in this country, is preparing seriously to tako up and grapple with one of the most pressing problems of these prevention of the propagation of the feeble-minded by"either segregation This was the opinion of the lady doctor speaking to those present with regard to a remit on the subject presented by the Auckland District Federation of Women's Institutes. The discussion also of a remit brought forward by the New Women's Clnb wae also a bit of good work attempted in the cause of world peace and disarmament. One feels hopeful of something being done when such an influential bodj- of women as the National Council take such matters in hand. C. DEXCKER.
