ELEVEN-A-SIDE.
AUCKLAND CONTROL BOARD.
HATT FILTERS IH CLUBS.
MOVE TO AMEND THE RULES.
At last night's meeting of the Auckland Football Association Mr. "F. G. Fullbrook moved to rescind the rules which barred Xavy representative* playing for local clubs. Messrs. W. A. Cole and C. F. Ward expressed the opinion that the whale position should be reviewed at the annual meeting. Mr. A. P. Xeeeham said any decision made now might be entirely changed by conditions appertaining at the commencement of next season.
Mr. J. C. Sibbin also supported the suggestion that the clubs should decide the question at the annual meeting. Mr. Fullbrook withdrew his motion, and Mr. Cole moved that a remit should be forwarded to the annual meeting in the following terms: —"That the rules excluding Xavy men playing for club teams should be rescinded, and the control board should frame other rules ae conditions warrant." In regard to the protest by Grey Lynn against Xorth Shore for playing Xavy players, and the Xorth Shore Club's subsequent appeal, a report was made by the two clubs concerned. Delegates from both clube were present, and, after a conference between them, it was agreed by Grey Lynn to withdraw its protest. Arrangements are well in hand for the visit by the third senior division team to Rotorua next Saturday. !
