(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.)
HAMILTON, this day
Spending most of his time defending land development and the financial aspects of the Government's administration, the Hon. F. Langstone, Minister of Lands,- received a fairly attentive hearing at Matangi last evening. Persistent interjections came from a group at the rear of the hall, the highlight of the meeting' being when two older men from the front strode towards them and remonstrated with them. A heated argument developed, the chairman eventually appealing successfully for order. Mr. Langetone claimed that the interjeetors could not stand up and hold the floor for two minutes. Later a young man accepted the challenge, but the chairman told him to speak when the meeting was over. "
Mr. Laiifr>tone received a vote of thank* and confidence amid some opposition.
