McCONACHY SCORES 139.

EXCEEDS WORLD'S RECORD. Clark McConachy, New Zealand billiards champion, played a friendly game of snooker at Xew Lynn yesterday afternoon when he recorded a break of 139. Each player had two shots without ecoring and then McConachy cleared the table with some remarkably consistent potting. The possible score in a snooker game under the latest rules is 155 and the world's record is 135, made by Joe Davie, of England, in 1937. MeConachy's score yesterday afternoon was not registered on a match table and so cannot be recognised as a record.
