THE ANNUAL MEETING
The report and balance-sheet submitted to the annual meeting of the Auckland branch of the New Zealand Owners, Breeders and Trainer*' Association last evening allowed that the financtw were in a very satisfactory position.
The president, Dr. K. H. B. Milsom. said that the formation of the association had been fully justified. It wax a corporate body, which wa* definitely recognised by the \ew Zealand Racing Conference. It had been instrumental in bringing about a settlement with the Canterbury Stable HaiMiM l ii ion, ami had alno [Moved vain* able in obtaining eon<e*HimiM in connAtion with the transport of lioraeH.
A good deal ot coiicMpondeneo wan received from clulm regarding the petition lor the alteration of the Gaming Act. which it is proposed to circulate. One club in the south forwarded a donation to iiwist the cause.
