ELOCUTIONARY AND VOCAL.
In the Lewis Eady Hall last evening aa elocutionary and vocal recital was given, u 06 ® taking part being students from the the studios of Madame Aileen and Mr. Dennis Johns.

Roper) and "One Fine Day" (Puccini), Phyllis Lindridffe; part songs, "Drink to Me Only" (arr. Dunhill) and "To Music" (Schubert), Mildred Noble, Jean Ovenden, Con. stance Johnson, Dorothy Evans; "The Almond Tree" (Schubert), Molly Holding; duet, "Thank God for a Garden" (del Riego), !Molly Holding end Jacqueline a ? e irr the Forest" (Tsebaikowskv) and Ties Deux Couronnes" (Rae), Norah Clarke; I Attempt From Love's Sicks. The elocutionary item* -were: "The China Tragedy," Shirley Stevens; "Placing By The Stream," Patricia Davidson; The Song of the Market Place," Beatrice Martin; "The Potion Scene" ("Borneo and Juliet"), and "My Financial Career," Valerie Blackmore; "Nini, lunette, Ninon" and "The Knight and the Ladv." Doris Foote: "Man Proposes," Valerie Black more. Patricia Davidcon, Beatrice Martin; "The Victor of Marengo." Jacqueline Page; "Queen Margaret's Mockery" (Henry VLI, Patricia Davidson: play, "The Lost Opportunity," Beth Dornan, Jacquelin Eobertsop and Gloria Grmttan; "River of Stars." Edna Lewis. One of the outstanding feature# of performances, vocal and elocutionary, was the clarity of the enunciation, winch was most commendable.
