FUNERAL DIRECTORS.
AHNTJAI, MEETING HELD.
Improvements have been made in many cases at various cemeteries in city and country areas as the result of representations from the Auckland and Provincial Funeral Directors' Association, according- to the second annual report of the association presented at the annual meeting last night.
Considerable time had been taken up during the year in the preparation and presentation to Parliament of the Funeral Directors' Bill, stated the report. This provided, among other matters, for the registration of all those engaged in the business. The coOperation of the traffic department of the City Council in the conduct of funerals was also the subject of comment.
Officers for the current year are:— President, Mr. Watney Sibun; vicepresidents, Messrs. B. R. Miller (Whangarei) and W. H. Tongue; committee, Messrs. S. Clark (Te Awamutu),*E. G. Scrimshaw (Hamilton), W. H. Taylor (Pukekohe), E. R. Dunford (Helensville), Arthur Holmes, William Morrison. T. Mclvor, V. Little, C. H. Barker; auditor, Miss Johnson; socretarv Mr. W. L. Thomson.
