MINISTER OF FINANCE. RETURNS LATER TO CITY. The Minieter of Finance, the Hon Walter Nash, passed through Auckland this morning to begin a tour of North Auckland. H e Arrived by the Limited Express, from Wellington, and left immediately »»y car for Whangarei, where he was to perform the openin" ceremony of the Brynderwyn deviation on the State highway. He'wae al«o to deliver political addressee at Whangarei this evening, and Dargaville to-morrow evening. He will be returning to Auckland in a few days time. Mr. Nash was met by a number of friends at the Auckland railway station this morning, and to them expressed hie confidence that the Government would be returned. He had no comment to make on the international situation.
