PRESENTATION.

The regret felt at their departure, and the high esteem in which they are held by both friends and members of the staff, were reflected in presentations made to Mr. and Mrs. P. W. Sampson before Mr. Sampson left the Central Hotel, of which he has been the proprietor for the past 12 months. The staff presented Mr. Sampson with a. monogrammed cigarette case, and gave Mrs. Sampson a dressing-table set. At an informal gathering of friends Mr. Sampson was presented with a travelling rug. Among those present were Messrs. Jack and Athol Hodgson, Roy Nelson, George Brows. Harry Syred and A. M. Robertson. Mr. and Mrs. Sampson leave to-day for an extended holiday in the North.
