WEAK CASE.

CHARGE* DISMISSED. Holding that the evidence for the prosecution was weak, Mr. C. R. Orr Walker, S.M., dismissed charges of importuning persons for immoral purposes heard in the Police Court yesterday afternoon against Hilda Jackson, domeetic, aged 36, and Charlotte Pratt, domes. tic, aged 54. After hearing the evidence of Constablo* F. Gordon and T. Griffiths, the magistrate said he did not think it neceesary to call upon the defence as the police case raised no more than euspicion. Mr. Hall Skelton appeared for Jackson, and Mr. Wood for Pratt.
