WELCOME TO MINISTERS.
AUCKLAND LABOUR CLUB. A welcome social to the Minister of Education, the Hon. P. Fraser. and the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. \V. E. Parry, will be tendered at the Auckland Labour Club on Saturday night. The club recently held its annual meeting, when the following officers were elected: —President. Mr. J. T. Jennings; vice-president. Mr. J. Purtell: honorary secretary, Mr. A. J. Williamfni. J. 1 ,.; honorary treasurer. Mr. \Y. C. Pilgrim; committee, Messrs. T. McCready, D. Lyons. M. Burgess. C. W. Kesbitt. ('. .1. Matthew; honorary snlicitor, Mr. F. W. Schramm. M.P.: auditor. Mr. A. R. W. Gregory. A.P.A.. X.Z. The annual report showed that the club was making sound progress. Seventy-seven new members had been elected. A number of social evenings had been held and the library and iid'X>r bowls and billiards tournaments had been well cupi'orted.
