WELLINGTON, Tuesiay.

The enrolment of electors for the general election is proceeding apace, and the million m«rk now appears) to be in sight. The total number of names on the general rolls, which dosed on June 80, and the supplementary roll* up te August 31, was 923,798. "It looks as though we may reach the million mark, or at least go very close to It," said the chief electoral officer, Mr. O. f>. HodgkiiM, in announcing these figures. The jrgregate on the main and supplementary rolto in 1935 was 919,894, bo that the figure as at the last election had already been exceeded- thie year at August 31 by 6204. The figures for the final three week* of enrolment on the supplementary rolls should see that total substantially increased.
