MONTEREY SAILED

MIDDLESEX FROM LIVERPOOL.

The Canadian Australasian Royal mail steamer Niagara, which arrived early yesterday afternoon from Vancouver, via ports, will sail at eight o'clock to-night for Sydney to complete her voyage. She landed 18(5 passengers here and will take about the same miml>er for Sydney, where fthe is due on Saturday. The' Union Company's Island motor ship Matua arrived from Karotonga at 7.20 a.m. to-day with 32 paseengers and her usual shipment of fruit. She is berthed at the Queen's wharf and will sail at 3 p.m. on Thursday for Xukualofa, Apia and Suva. The Mataon liner Monterey sailed shortly after 5 p.m. yesterday for San Francisco, via Suva, Pago Pago, Honolulu and Los Angeles harbour. She took 110 passengers from Auckland, in addition to 226 booked through. She is due -at Suva on Thursday morning- The Federal Line steamer Middlesex will arrive at 7 a.m. to-mor-row from Liverpool au<l west coast ports with •rencjral cargo. She berths at J'rilice's- wharf ami will later proceed to Wellington. Lvttelton and Dtuiedin to complete discharge and commence home loading.

Napier Star is expected to leave Oisliorne late to-night ami is. due here early on Thursday morning for final loading, sailing next Tuesdav for London. (Ji.S.L.)

Matai arrived last evening from Moko Hiiiau Island, where she landed equipment for a radio station. She will Anil at (i p.m. to-morrow for Cape Brett. (Marine Dept.)

Rangitane is making good progress with her final loading at the Central wharf and is expected to sail on Thursday evening for London, via Panama (N.Z.S. Co.)
