OTAHUHU SAILING CLUB. ANNUAL MEETING. At the. annual meeting of the Otahuhu .Sailing L'lnb, held in the clubhouse, AvenoiRoad, Otahuhu, the commodore, Mr. C. Castles, presided over a good attendance of members, including several ladies. The report, presenttd by the secretary, Mr. H. Gillies, referred to the success «•» Uie pnst season and to the advent oi aevetal boat*, which will compete at club events In the coming season, including Atalmita, Shamrock and Messrs. J. Morgan and Gordon Patrick's new boats, both is footerThe clubhouse was in good order and the new lockera all in use. The social side of the club had been well cared for by the ladle* and all racing events, of which ten were held, were keenly contested In perfect weather, the entry fees being double last year's total. The balance-sheet, sub mitted by the treasurer, Mr. J. White, showed the club to be in a satisfactory position, with a credit balance for the year of £40 10/. Mr. Castles, moving the adoption of thi report and bala nee-sheet, said they reflected credit on the offlcere concerned, and he thanked all who had assletedHn the steady progress of the club during the year. He referred to the eominjf vjeit of the Sydney Its-footers in February .end said they would create a lot of Interest in their class in Auckland.
The following officers were elected for 1038-30 :—President, Mr. Tom Clements ; vice-presidente, as last year; commodore, Mr. C. Castles; vice-commodore, Mr. Frank Fugle; hon. secretary, Mr. H. Gillies; lion, treasurer, Mr. J. White; club reporter, Mr. J. IS. Graham: handlcappcr, Mr. H. K. Parkinson; committee, Messrs. 11. Fearnley, N. Clark, N. Campbell, H. Klngsford. R. Castles, W. 3. Parkinson and R. McDell. A presentation of a framed picture of Mr W. J. ffirklnson's 14-footer Kismet was made to him to mark the occasion of hln recent" marriage.

ANNUAL MEETING. The Point Chevalier Model Yacht Club hold its fourth annual prize nlsht in the Sailing Club's pavilion. The function took the form of a dance and there were about I 250 present. Thi- president. Mr. M. J. Coyle. In the nnavoldable absence of the patroness. Lady navls, presented the prizes. The commodore, Mr. B. J. Betterton. said the club had made steady progress, the racing beinir the best since its formatio'n. and he- thanked all who had assisted, especially the hon. secretary. Mr. W. H. J. Oliver.
