MEAT IN LONDON. easing in chilled beef, (By Telegraph.-—rress Association.) ' WELLINGTON", Friday. The New Zealand Meat Producers' Board report on the Smithfield market covering the period ended September 15, states that prices for lamb are unchanged, but trade is affected by large supplies and the low prices of home-killed. Wethers and eiyes are quiet, with prices unchanged and chilled beef is easier owing to the warm weather affecting the demand. New Zealand porker pigs are firmer, on the usual seasonal increase in demand. \ T ew Zealand baconer.pigs are quiet and unchanged. Quotations are:—New Zealand porker pigs, first quality, 61 to 801b, 7d; ni -n O , °°l b ' o%d; 101 to 1201b, 654 d. Unlled beef prices are approximate averages realised for the week. New Zealand, : hinds sssd, fores 3Wd; Australian, SHi, 3%d; South African, 5?Sd, 3%d; Rhodesian, 3d; Argentine, 6d, 3%d; Uruguayan, 5%d, 3y 4 d; Brazilian, oM. Others unchanged. .
