SEAMAN'S DEATH.
TRAGEDY CN PHILOMEL EVIDF.XC'E AT IXQUEST. An inqueet was opened this morninf by the city coroner. Mr. F. K. Hunt, into the death of James Fulton, who wae found dead in the gunnery room on H.M.S. Philomel at the naval base yeeterday morning. The deceased was an able-seaman, 28 years of age, and a married man living apart from his wife. A seaman on the Philomel gave evidence of identification. He said deceased had gone into the gunnerv room shortly after 8 a.m. and a little'later hi« body was discovered lying across a .303 service rifle. There was a large bullet wound in deceased's forehead. The further hearing of evidence was adjourned.
