In a one-day cricket match between Australia and Ireland, the Commonwealth eleven was dismissed for 145 (White 30, Barnes 27. McCabe 26, Badcock 23). Bowling: J. McDonald flve wickets for 24 runs, Inpram four for 46. The Irishmen were all out for 84 (T. McDonald 28). Bowling: Ward five for 22, O'Reilly three for 7. Australia won by 61 rone. A two-day frame against *he Gentlemen of Ireland follows at Dublin. ■-, When New Zealand beat Ireland by .eight wickets on September 11, 1937, it ijras.the first time since 1925 that a firstems* match, had ended in one day.
