CAN CITY WIN?
THE ROOPE ROOSTER. MATCH WITH RICHMOND. FINAL. FOR THE TROPHY. 'Mm final for tlie Roope Rooster will be pl.iyoil to-morrow ;it Cariaw Park between City mill Kichmond, and a very keenly contested match is expected. City have shown remarkably fine form ni recent matches, and last Saturday, the brilliant play of their forwards proved the deciding factor in their match against -Mamikau. Richmond reached a very high standard of team-play during the club season, but although they then fell away a little, there ha* been evidence of return to form in li'ci'iit matches, and in their match last Saturday they pave a convincing display. Both the teams can combine, and there should be fast and open back play.
In the Phelan Shield series Papakura have been drawn to meet North Shore, Manukaii will play Mount Albert, and Marist, the club champions, will meet PoiiKonby. I'apakura will meet North Shore in the early match on the No. 1 ground, and it will be the first occasion that the south suburban team has played there. Teams are: — CITY ROVERS. Senior.— Hughes.
