DEATK OF JOLLY BEGGAR. WELL-KNOWN* JUMPER. (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") CHRISTCHURCH, thie day. The West Coast owner Mr. D. H Roberts has had the misfortune to lose hie well-known jumper Jolly Beggar While runtime out in a paddock at the stables oi his trainer, F. Christmas, at Kit-carton, he collided with a fence and broke a shoulder, necessitating his destruction. At his beet Jolly Beggar was the bwt hurdler in the Dominion, hie successes liK-ludmg the Grand National in two successive years.
