A deliphtful afternoon party was held at the residence of Mrs. C. XI. Peck, Mount I'oskill. in aid of Cecilia ■College. condiietiMl by the Slitters of Mercy. During the afternoon the iruest*; ha<l the pleasure of hearing several delightful miisiciil items rendered by Mix. .7. Hall, Mrs. Frank Men/.ies. Mrs. Humfrev Oordon. Aries. P. Franchi, Mrs. R. O'Brien Hiul Mrs. If. Owers. Mrs. C. Menziee accompanied on the piano, whilst Mrs. Oldnury .Tones played several pianoforte solos. Miss Xoreen Peck jrave some clever elocutionary itcins. Kach sinjrer wae presented by the hostess with an artistic nhoulder spray. A delicious afternoon tea was served.
