( hi)< thi* week the "Original Sonjr" competition for the pri/e donated by Mrs. .1. lime*, vice-president, was held, the adjudicator being Mr. Kaynor-White. •■Coiili'. Birds with Wondrous Wings." by Mr.-. Mn<Hield. was the winning item, "Morions Day" and "Twilight." by Mr*. IJ. Bennett. being placed second and third, and "Little Dancing Lady" (Mr*. liovle). fourth.
These wore beaut if lilly interpreted by Miss Ida Walker. Mrs. Winifred O-bourne and Mrs. Gladys Wiseman. Kccitnt i<lll4 were given l>y Mh*« V. de Montalk. Mrs. W. Free and Miss M. I'HVmgtoii. Mrs. Maisie l.'arteLloyd contributed two anmsinjr sketches, and' Mrs. ]{. K. X. Maltliews n "ScottWi" ic.itation. A ]>layeite. "The Reason Why." by Mr. and Mrs. ('. M. Kuttray. was an 'appreciated item. A pleasing innovation was an IV( udiantina band qiiiufet by Mrs. J. W. Probert and sons. The ennvener of the drama section. Mrs. h. Booth, presided, and a vote of thanks wan accorded the performers.
