SCHOOL REUNION.

NEW PLYMOUTH HIGH.

AUCKLAND OLD BOYS MEET.

Legislation likely to alter the existing status of secondary schools throughout the Dominion was opposed by speakers at the annual reunion of the Auckland branch of the New Plymouth High School Old Boys* Association. The formation in Wellington of a Dominion association of secondary schools' representatives to oppose such legislation was approved. - About 60 men attended, including representatives of Auckland secondary schools. Proposing the toast of "The Old School," Mr. -C. D. Collins, who presided, outlined recent progress. The roll now exceeded 800, and an extensive building programme was in progress, he said. The Auckland roll of old boys was 120, but there were many others not registered. In future a luncheon would be held on the first Thursday in each month. This would keep old boys in touch. Toasts honoured were as follows: "The Masters," proposed by Mr. D. C. O'Halloran, responded to by Mr. R. C. Wilson; "Kindred Associations," proposed by Dr. M. Simcock, responded to by Mr. C. Webb, Auckland Grammar School Old Boys' Association; "Absent Old Boys," proposed by Mr. N. Kyle. A toast to the oldest old boy present was replied to by Mr. W. Noble.
