COAL FOR ITALY.
ENVOY VISITS SOUTH WALES. (Received 2 p.m.) LONDON, September 5. In view of the recent expansion of Italian trade, business circles attach importance to Count Grandi's surprise visit to South Welsh collieries. Welsh ports shipped 575,477 tons of coal to Italy in the first half of 1938, an increase of 224,664 tons over the corresponding period of 1937.
