Herr Hitler 1 arrived at 11 a.m., I , accompanied by Dr. Goebbels and 'ether party leaders. He alighted at the gold-draped station and inspected the i hodyguard of the Black Guard. The Fuehrer then drove to his hotel along • route lined by cheering thousands. rA Heirr Julius Streicher, Go vernor of Franconia, noted for his leading of the anti-Jewish campaign, has carried out his promise to remove all vestige of the •Uy'a great synagogue before the congress and only a vacant space remains. k The station and its precincts were lined by Storm Troopers, their arms interlocked to restrain the crowds whom >'»■ second line of troops faced. Cold \ wet weather fa'iled to damp the Nazi , enthusiasm. Herr Hitler was welcomed by the Mayor as "creator of Greater Germany .and liberator of Austria." In response, he said: "Again Nazis, 'this time of Greater Germany, have met to gather new strength for the tasks of j the coming year. We ,are happy that •ur Austrian brothers are with us." , It was announced that the, regalia of the Holy Roman Empire will be transferred from Vienna to Nuremberg.
