THREAT WITH AXE.

COMPLAINT BY WOMAN. YOUTH BEFORE COURT. (From Onr Correspondent.) PUKEKOHE, Monday. In the Children's Court at Pukekohe to-day, before Mr. W. H. Freeman, S.M., a youth of 16 was charged with breaking and entering a dwelling house' in Pukekohe, with intent to commit a crime, and with assaulting a woman. Sergeant 0. Tocker said that the youth had- been apprehended following a complaint by the woman. He entered the house when she was alone at night and threatened her with the axe. The woman grappled with the youth, and obtained possession of the axe, after which he left the house. The youth was ordered to come up for sentence if called upon within 12 months, and was placed under the control ? the child welfare officer.
