MEETING AT PJJKEKOHE The meeting held at Pukekohe during the week-end ww a great success, largely due to" favourable weather. The events were held in a paddock kindly lent for the purpose by Mr. Beetson, of Pukekohe, and three clubs were represented, namely Pukekohe, Huntly and Auckland. (P) 1, Andrews (P) 2. ' • . Potato Race.—Beetson (P) 1, Harvey (P) 2. Figure Eight.—Smith (P) 1, Plummer (A) 2, Clarkson (A) 3. Tent Pegging Competition.—Brindle (A) 1, R. Beetson. (P) 2, Knowles (P) 3. "Slow Race.—Plummer' (A) 1, R. Beetson (P) 2. The events concluded with a match race between Auckland and Pukekohe, Auckland proving the victors. Through the day "points- were • awarded for the points cup, and R. Beetson, a Pukekohe rider, succeeded in winhitux this trophy.
