The Posterity filly got through her task comfortably, and appears to be very fit. Corona-

Amigo, who disappointed at New Pl>-mouth, was restricted to eaey pace work. Althougli the Beau Pere gelding had been galloping very freely befoie going to the hunt meeting he had not been patting the daeli into hie work that he did an a two-year-old. However, it was expected that he would make a better showing than he did in Thursday's race, and his proepecta in the Gxrineas are not now regarded ae brightly as they were previously. Francis Drake was sent a mile, which he left behind in 1.47 2-5, the laet eix turlongs in 1.20. Although he was close m to the pegs it wae a good effort, and he wae going well within himeelf.

Middle, All Buneby and Amatory were associated in a run over half a mile, which they left behind in 53e, with Amatory going the better of the trio. All Buneby is improving with each gallop, and he might prove useful.

The two-year-olde Kobi and Authorise were companions in a spin over three furlongu. in which the latter wae going comfortably alongside the colt all the way. The time wae 41s, but the Defoe filly could have done much better. She appears to be the moat likely of the youngster* yet seen out here, and- should make a bold bid in the Debutante Stakes. Kobi it* a very eolid looking colt, but he will need a race or two before lie is seen at hie beet.

Golden Pam covered half a mile in 51 4-se, and did it nicely. Smoke Screen ie making progress toward recovery from the injuries he sustained when alighting from a float after ■ visit to Wanganui. The Limond gelding warn rather badly cnt about the back of the knee and the hock, -and it will be tome time before he will be seen out Jiinj, Smoke Screen gave every promise being, better than ever this season, and it warn bad luck for D. Marks to loee his services in tbe meantime.
