'"Old Contemptible*?" assertion that he is second to none in his loyalty to returned, men is a most inscrutable staggerer. He has a very peculiar way of showing his a-lleged. loyalty n-hen he adversely criticises Diggers who have the temerity to fijrht a war of attrition to have obvious grievances rijrhted. Anyhow. I venture to assert, and with all due courtesy tn -Old Contemptible" that Digger:- are quir<> <-apab!n of fighting their own battles, even although thev mav have to retrieve spanners thrown into" the 'work« hv such as "Old Contemptible."
