LONDON, September 1

® u tter is in slightly better demand on the London market. Danish is quoted from 136/ to 137/ per cwt, choicest salted New Zealand 123/, Australian 120/, and unsalted at a 1/ premium in the latter two cases. Cheese is firm with the choicest white and coloured. New Zealand selling at 73/ per cwt, and Australian at 70/. ! After a long period of lagging demand the butter market is at last showing signs of revival. New Zealand has risen 2/, Australian 3/, and Danish 1/ per cwt in the past week. Current prices are compared with those of last week, and a year ago in the following table:— BUTTER. Sep.l Aug. 23 Tr. ago. Cwt. Cwt. Cwt.
