Mr. A. R. Phillips left for the south by last evening's Limited express. Mr. C. W. Heather will leave by the Monterey to-night on a visit to Australia. The Hon. Sir Walter Stringer 'will be a passenger for the south by the Limited express this evening:. The Hon. F. Waite. M.L.C.. of Dunedin. is visiting Auckland. He arrived from Wellington by air. Mr. G. .T. Bertinsliaw. chief engineer of the Railways Department, has returned to Wellington. Mr. Henry A. Bent ley. of the Gilbert and Ellice Islands colony, will leave for Melbourne by the Monterey to-night. Mr. G. W. Hutchison, district governor of Roiary, will leave for Wellington by the Limited this evening. Mr. Harvey Turner was a passenger from Ohakune by train this hU return from a visit to Wellington. Sir Apirana Xgata. M.P. for Eastern Maori, was a passenger bv the Limited express from Wellington "this morning. Major-General J. E. Duigan, Chief of the General Staff, will leave on his return south by the early express this afternoon. Mr. F. W. Bass, accompanied bv his wife, are leaving for a tour of the South land prior to their departure for England. Mr. A. Tyndall. director of hou*in~ who has been visiting Auckland, will' j return to Wellington by the earlv train this afternoon. The Hon. T. Bloodwortli. the Hon. F. h. Lark and the Hon. B. Martin, memiers of the Legislative Council, arrived at Auckland from Wellington by train this morning. Mr. W T. Hornibrooke. former]v a member of the train-running staff in ellington. has taken up his new duties as transport officer at the Auckland railway station. Lieutenant-Commissioner F.
