PROGRESS PAYMENT MADE. DISCUSSION AT THAMES. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) THAMES, Thursday. Questions relative to the proceeds of the recent queen carnival and the vesting of the proposed new instruments were discussed at a meeting of the queen carnival central executive last night. It was decided that the instruments he vested in three trustees, namely, the Mayor of the town for the time being, a councillor appointed by the council, and a third one nominated by the band. A former resolution that "the instruments be vested in the Thames Borough Council was rescinded It was agreed to pay over to the Returned Soldiers' Association its share of the proceeds, £300, and also to make a progress payment of £500 to the band.
