CHILDREN ENTERTAINED.
EDEN-ROSKILL R.S.A. Despite the inclement weather which prevailed last evening, there was a larse attendance of parents and children of members of the Eden-Roskill Returned Soldiers Club at a party given ill the club rooms. Dancing, crimes and musical items were the order of the evening, and there was also some community singing. Fancy hats, bugles, balloons, masks and sweets were served to the children, and an excellent supper was served by the committee of ladies. Mr. Leo Manii, the popular secretary of the Bowling Club, and Mr. Gollier were in charge, and the children responded splendidly to their efforts to entertain. Mrs. Day had charge of the music and Miss Joyce Mann played the accompaniment to two cornet solos bv Master W. Cleaver. Little Miss Toze'r ga-ve a recitation, and several stringed ind mouth organ solos were also wiven. Mr. Mann and the members of the executive deserve credit for the splendid jveniug's entertainment.
