FUNDS OF LABOUR.
BALLOT DECIDED ON. RAILWAYMEN'S DONATIONS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. It is understood the New Zealand Locomotive Engineer**. Firemen and. Cleaners' Association has decided to take a ballot- among its members on the question of whether lho association should contribute £500 to the funds of the New Zealand Labour parfv. The assoc'mtion is affiliated to the New Zealand Labour party, but is 7i.-vt a-srn-iated with the New Zealand Federation of Labour. The Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants, which la»-t year donated £1000 to the Labour party'* funds, is affiliated with both the Labour party and the Federation of Labour. The society also donated £1000 to the '•Standard"'newspaper fund, the contribution Wing made this year. The New Zealand Railway Tradesmen's Association is also affiliated with both the Lal>our jiarty and the Fedeof Laltour. The amalgamated society's contributions were made in addition to affiliation fees, which amounted to approximately £600 to the Labour party and about £400 to the Federation of Labour.
