VIOLATION OF TREATIES,

WELLINGTON, this day. Tie following Dunedin remit was adapted at the annual conference of the Dominion Council of the League of Nations Union:—"That this conference recoids its strong protest against the military aggression of Italy, Germany and fjapan, associated with violations of solemn treaties, the bombing of open towii, the ruthless slaughter of noncombatants (including women and children), the suppression of free opinion, interference with religion and censorship jf the Press, and urges support for the principles of the League of Nations as tnt only lasting basis for a constructive |oliey of international order, arbitration and security in acknowledging the ultimate reign of law and the right of aUpeoplee to enjoy the blessings of freedom."
