BUS LEAVES ROAD.
OCCUPANTS ONLY SHAKEN.
When the front right-hand tyre blew out, a large passenger bus owned bv the Passenger Transport Companv, Liniited, swerved sharply to the riaht and left the concrete road at Mount Wellington to come to reet in a deep watercourse about six feet below the road level shortly after 5.30 last evening The bus came to reet with one side against a hedge and tilted at an a«le of about 45 degrees. c The driver and nine passengers escaped with a shaking, and had" no difficulty in leaving the vehicle. Thev completed their journey in another bus. The only apparent damage was a broken pane of glass. The bus was on its regular run from the city to Otahuhu by way of Ellerelie and was driven by Mr. H. Jackson, of Tamaki Drive Otahuhu.
