CITY OF WINCHESTER.
MONTEREY IN THE MORNING. MELBOURNE STAR SAILS. CITY OF PITTSBURG ARRIVED. The port is again busy with the arrival last evening of two overseas cargo ships, and others due before the week-end will occupy all available berths. The A. and A. Line steamer City of Winchester arrived shortly before ten o'clock last night from New York. She anchored in the stream and berthed this morning at the King's wharf. She is expected to leave on Tuesday for Wellington to continue diecharge. The New Zealand Shipping Company are local agents. The Matson liner Monterey will arrive at 7 a.m. to-morrow from San Francisco, via way ports, and will berth at Prince's wharf. She brings 234 passengers for Auckland and has 402 booked through. About two hundred will join her at 10 p.m. to-morrow, when she sails for Sydney and Melbourne. The Blue Star motor ship Melbourne Star (Captain G. Wilson), eaile at 3 p.m. to-day for London, via Cape Horn. She has three passengers and is due at London on October 2. The M.A.N.Z. Line eteamer City of Pittsburg arrived from Montreal shortly after ten o'clock last night and anchored in the stream. She berthed this morning at Queen's wharf, and is expected to leave for the South next week. The New Zealand Shipping Company are iigente. Cambridge left for Wellington ehortly after seven o'clock this morning to continue discharge of cargo from West of England ports. (N.Z.S. Co.) Matai arrived last evening from the Cape Brett lighthouse and is loading materials for Cuvier Island at King's wharf, sailing- on Monday morning. (Marine Dept.) Cornwall is completing her loading at the Central wharf and will sail on Saturday for London and West Coast ports. (N.Z.S. Co.)^ Springbank is expected to arrive on Saturday from New Plymouth to complete discharge of phosphate from Nauru Island. (8.P.C.) Rangitane is discharging London cargo from London at Prince's wharf and will leave to-morrow night for Port Chalmere. (N.Z.S. Co.)
Karamea is expected to arrive from New Plymouth at 10 a.m. to-morrow for final loading for Southampton and London, sailing next Tuesday. (A.S.P.) Wairangi, which arrived from Glasgow and Liverpool on Monday, is expected to complete discharge of local cargo and leave for Wellington at 5 p.m. to-morrow. (A.S.P.) Wanganella leaves Wellington at H p.m. to-day for Sydney. She leaves. Sydney on September 9 for Auckland, arriving on September 13. (H.P.) Aorangi will sail at 4 p.m. to-day from Sydney for Auckland.
