CHRISTCHURCH, this day. j The markets were extremely dull on calls thie morning, bidding in many sections being so mechanical that price movements, compared with yesterday, were negligible. Buyers for 1946, 1949 and 1955 4 per cents offered par in all case* the only seller on 'Change being at £100 10/ for - the 1946 class. Banks showed virtually no alteration, the same conditions applying to almont every section until mining was reached. Ihere were occasional exceptions amoii" industrials, Dunlops moving up to buy ere at 21/ and Hume Pipes (Aust.) haviii" him inquiry at 20./. Sellers of Farmers' Fertilisers were unsupported at 18/9 and no buyers came in for Refrigerating shares. In mining, Broken Hill Souths and Mount Lyells pained fractionally. Buying inquiry for the Australian group was well sustained. Grey Rivers had a firm market from 13/6 to 14/ and Nemonas were slightly stronger, with buyers at 1/4.
