Weymouth, who is supervising the ecological survey in the New Zealand Petroleum Company's search lor oil in Taranaki, a geophysicist is expected from America shortly. Mr. Weymouth said ho had not yet received advice of the geophymcist's name or the exact nature of his operations. He would proceed straight to Tarannki and would work in co-operation with the geological parties. liood progress was being made with geological survey, although rain had caused delays. The survey had reached about 10 miles soutn fi Ohura. Seven men, three geologists, three eurveyoi* and himself had been working in the district at full pressure for a month. Mr. Weymouth declined to comment on the statement yesterday by the Minister of Minee, the Hon. P. C.
