THIRTY-FIFTH ANNUAL MEETING. ELECTION OP OFFICERS. The Victoria Crnisins Cluh held its thirty-fifth annual meeting last evening at the clubhouse, I'ooro Street. Mr. It. The club also expressed their thanks to Sir Krnest Davis, patron of the cluii since its inception 3."> years ago. and to Hon. Kliot Uavis. ns vice-patron for the same, lenu'tn of time. ;:lso to the president. Mr. W. Casey. The hauling out site had been in demand. The balance-sheet, submitted by Mr. fieo Tylcoar. showed receipts totalling £37*] including hon. members - subscriptions nn<i donations £123, members' subscriptions £49, locker fees £4«, entry fees «3fl. The expenditure, which included prize money £105. left a credit balance of »;ir>2 for the season's work. The assets totalled £094 with liabilities nil. Tim building account shows a credit of € L'Oti. Mr. W. Casey, moving the adoption of the report and balance-sheet, congratulated the officers and members on the very sound position the club was now in, which told of good work by all. Mr. Casey also paid a tribute to Mr. K. Oriffl.hs. who during his term as commodore, hud been instrumental in turning a debit balnnc•» due to the removal of the clubhouse, into a substantial credit. Mr. Geo. Dennes congratulated the club on its position, and stated that he had received advice from Sydney that the ISfooters could not come here in time for the anniversary regatta, but hoped to I arrive early in February. | Messrs. R. and O. Johnson. K. Griffiths I and others added a tribute to the work of I the officers and committee, and expressed regret that Mr. E. Culhane was retiring from the office of vic<vcommodore nnd delegate to the association after representing the club as delegate for 20 years. The following officers were elected for 1028-29 season :—Patron, Sir Ernest Davis; vice-patron. Hon. Kliot Davis; president -Mr. «. Casey; vice-presidents, as last year; commodore, Mr. Rae Tuohev ; vicecommodore. Mr. J. OSullivan; rear-com-modore, Mr. F. Hogan; hon. secretary, Mr J. McGehan : hon. treasurer, Mr. Geo. Tyleoat : assistant hon. secretary, Mr. K Mac Curdy: delegates to Yacht and Motor 5 Association, Messrs. Geo. Mohberley nnd C. Daw; clubhouse captain Mr T Thompson ; assistant. Mr. \V Macintvnv Ujon. auditors. Messrs O. Johnson and' G~ Parker; clubhouse steward. Mr. F. Morcan assistant. Mr. J. Griffiths: committee' Messrs. G Parker. C. Daw. E. Fitzgerald] S. Panas. J. T.ea.
