WEATHER FORECAST. FOR CITY 'AND PROVINCE. The Government Meteorologist Issued to the "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland Tauranga and Kawhla:— west winds, decreasing to-morrow. Weather changeable and 'With occasional ■ showers, but Improving to-morrow. Temperatures -becoming cooler. Seas rough, but' later moderating, on the west coast and slight to moderate on the east coast. v . A depression • is centred ■ this mornIng just west of Cook Strait. An anti-cyclone still covers eastern Australia and the western Tasman Sea, but the centre has moved southwards, thus favouring southerly rather than south-westerly wines over New Zealand. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. : The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day :— Wind, north-west, light; sea, slight; weather, cloudy, with passing showers; visibility, good; barometer, steady.
