A MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE.
Not only do people seal message* in bottles for fun, curiously wondering, as they hurl them into the sea, on which far off beach the little glass craft will be washed tip.

On December 17, 1936, a bottle thrown overboard in the waters of thf West Indies, and sealed inside it wa» a message asking the finder to se< 'I it to the. Navy Department at Wasiiington, and so assist work which was done in observing the movements of ocean currents, with the aim oi htlp* ing mariners.
What do you think happened to the bottle?
It was washed ashore on the beach at Glenarm, Ireland, having taken !• months to travel across the Atlantic Ocean from the West Indie* to Ireland.
